Independent inspection of empty and returning properties against your own void or lettable standard, element by element.
Voids are where cost leaks: works specified that were not needed, works needed that were not specified, rechargeable damage that never got evidenced properly enough to recharge, and properties signed off as ready that come straight back.
An independent inspection at the front and back ends of that process gives you an evidenced record of what the property was like when it came in, what was ordered, and whether it was done to standard before it was let again.
A firm that inspects and also carries out the remedial work has an interest in what the report says. An installer photographing his own work only ever photographs what suits him. This practice has no installation arm and no remedial supply chain, so there is nothing to upsell and no stake in the outcome. The finding is the product.
